MIXXXX named Product of the Year for 2012

A highly qualified jury has selected the mixing bowl set MIXXX by koziol as its 2012 Product of the Year on behalf of pro-K, the German Federation of Plastic Products and Pre-Products. All in all, 18 items were selected in nine categories.

"We are delighted at this accolade," commented Stephan Koziol, "because the jury for this award traditionally focuses on technically intelligent solutions and the practical benefits of products. These are qualities that aren't usually obvious at first glance and typically only become apparent during use. It is our goal to combine good design with top functionality in every new product we release."

The award-winning product MIXXX was created by the London-based designer Cairn Young who has produced products for such illustrious brands as Rosenthal, WMF and Driade.  His work is distinguished by organic shapes and playfully lightweight, flowing contours which he incorporates into these products in own inimitable style.

The winning products from the competition will be on display from February 10-12, 2012 at the Ambiente in Frankfurt, the world's largest consumer goods fair. The special exhibition, which is entitled "2012 Products of the Year," can be found at Stand B 91 in Hall 5.1.

The "Product of the Year" prize has been awarded for 30 years to groundbreaking plastic products that feature outstanding creativity and innovative functions." The submissions are judged by an independent jury consisting of representatives from industry, the retail sector, consumer organizations and the trade press.
