After 5 years overseas with elite special operations units he returned to his Bainbridge Island, Washington home to work as Emergency Medical Technician with the volunteer fire department, and was elected Fire Commissioner. He has worked at retail as Assistant Manager of Starbucks and in wholesale at a California housewares manufacturing company.
