A leader in the wholesale housewares business since 1970. He joined his father in the family business after serving as Captain U.S. Marine Corps in Japan, Vietnam and the U.S. Worked in production and marketing management for 4 years in a California housewares company. Went on to establish several brands of high-end housewares brands in the Pacific Northwest including: Cuisinarts, OXO, ScanPan and Jura. Peter headed formation of the San Francisco Gourmet Cookware Show. He pioneered the introduction and marketing of automatic coffee and espresso machines for home use, working with European manufacturers to establish their brands in the USA. He is a charter member and former Chairman of the Board of International Housewares Representatives Association Board of Directors. He co-published two cookbooks for Starbucks including Starbucks Passion for Coffee. Served on the Board of Directors Boys and Girls Club.
Jacob is a graduate of University of Washington and a former college water polo player and coach. Prior to joining the family business he worked at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics as a production assistant for the opening and closing ceremonies. He completed certification as a Certified Professional Manufacturers’ Representative at University of Arizona. He serves on the Board of Directors of International Housewares Representative Association. He is currently senior sales associate and President of Bang-Knudsen, Inc. Jacob and wife Melissa live on Bainbridge Island, Washington with their two children.
Paul was awarded the Purple Heart Medal during service in Iraq with First Force Recon Company, U.S. Marine Corps. He is both dive and jump qualified as a Marine Reconnaissance Specialist. After 5 years overseas with elite special operations units he returned to his Bainbridge Island, Washington home to work as Emergency Medical Technician with the volunteer fire department, and was elected Fire Commissioner. He has worked at retail as Assistant Manager of Starbucks and in wholesale at a California housewares manufacturing company.
Kristal Chandler joined Bang-Knudsen in 2010 as a part-time administrative assistant and in 2012, was promoted to Office Manager where she oversees all daily operational tasks. She also handles inside sales and supports field sales representatives.
Kristal’s background includes over six years of management experience in the retail sector and in the print and shipping industry. She studied Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design at Mira Costa College.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family, volunteering, refinishing furniture and the great outdoors. Kristal donates approximately 40 volunteer hours per year to the Asia-Northwest Cultural Education Association.
Angela joined the Bang-Knudsen team in 2010 with an extensive retail background including both buying and planning. Having worked for employers such as Sur La Table, Macy's and Nike, she is able to help on all levels of buying and planning with her customers. In addition, Angela worked for Maidenform, Inc. where she worked with major accounts such as Amazon, Macy's, Nordstrom and Fred Meyer.
Angela received her BA from the University of Oregon and currently resides in Sammamish, Washington with her husband Tyler and two daughters Riley and Taylor. She enjoys spending time with her family and cheering on her daughters at their soccer and softball games. She is also a member of the National Charity League of Sammamish where she does community service with her daughter.
Jeff is our outside sales associate in the Pacific Northwest calling on both independent and National accounts.
Prior to Bang-Knudsen, Jeff served in the US Navy as a logistics chief at Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific where he planned and organized joint training and operational projects for approximately 250 DOD employees. Later as a patrol supervisor he was responsible for conducting over 400 hours of law enforcement training and mentorship as well as advising current service and support capabilities to senior staff members. He was awarded a Navy Achievement Medal and a performance citation for his service.
After an Honorable Discharge Jeff then went on to direct the development and implementation of information technology projects among cross- functional teams in business development roles within the pet supplement industry.
Jeff holds a BA in Political Science and Government from West Virginia University where he focused on Latin American economic policy while studying at the University of Havana in 2002. He later went on to earn his MBA from the City University of Seattle, specializing in project prioritization, planning, and financial management. He currently resides in Suquamish, Washington with wife, Grace, and their two children.
